A DAY AT THE ZOO

OUR FIRST FAMILY ZOO TRIP

We finally made it to the Columbus Zoo and had a great time showing Keira everything.

The first thing we went to was the petting area. Daddy had to ease Keira into petting a goat because we know how she is with unfamiliar things.

No surprise here... Keira didn't like it one bit and wanted nothing to do with the goat!

We let Keira enjoy the goats from a safe distance and she liked that a whole lot better.

Thought we would try to trick her and sit her down next to one.

Didn't last very long and she took off!

It's rare that I get in pictures because I'm usually the one in charge of photo taking.

Minding her own business... a goat is curious and wants to check Keira out.

I'm shocked that she didn't pull away or cry once it starting sniffing her out.

I'm even MORE shocked that she braved it out and FINALLY touched a goat!

I love this picture of Keira having so much fun with her Daddy. She loves her Da-Da so much!

Thought this was a cute picture and I like how Brody put her necklace on like a backpack. She wore it like that most of the day.

It wouldn't be a fun day at the zoo unless Keira got to touch a tree. She loves looking at trees but especially loves touching them.

It was definitely a fun day at the zoo and we are so glad that Daddy had the day off to go with us.

*VACATION IN VIRGINIA

We had a great Easter in Virginia and wanted to share a little of our trip. It was so beautiful there with everything in bloom and the weather was perfect!

Keira did GREAT with the car ride and we couldn't be happier with how smooth it went. Before we left on our trip I bought Keira some glow sticks for the car ride. The package came with 3 and each glow stick was inside of a straw. Keira was entertained with the straw and glow stick for hours. She had a blast shaking them around and putting the straw up to my mouth to blow in it for her. YES... Mommy spoils her and I sat in the back with her the entire time. Thanks for making the drive for us Daddy!

The weather was beautiful at Grammy and Papaw's. Keira loved getting outside to crawl around and look at all the flowers.

Grammy bought Keira a special flower for her to play with. It's a cute little pinwheel flower and Keira loved it! There was just the right breeze that day to get it moving and Keira thought it was so fun to watch it spin and stop it every now and then.

Keira didn't appreciate Daddy holding her a little too close to the flowers. She's one of those babies that doesn't like unfamiliar things to touch her.

It took her a minute before she decided to get into it. Keira loved her necklaces, shovel, and rake the most.

Keira's first time in a hiking backpack. We wanted to go for a little walk since the weather was so nice and Keira didn't seem to mind the ride.

Keira loves her cousin Emily and Emily loves Keira too! They have so much fun together!

Emily loves to carry Keira around and Keira just loves it. Emily is such a big helper and is always happy to entertain and watch Keira.
